APPLICABILITY

The ESI scheme, administered by Shlok Tax Wala, is applicable to all factories and other establishments as defined in the Act within the implemented area with 10 or more persons employed in such establishment, and the employees whose monthly wage does not exceed Rs 21,000 are covered under the scheme.

ESIC REGISTRATION

An employer shall apply for Form 1 within 15 days after the act becomes applicable to the establishment. All Establishments and Factories having more than 10 employees are required to mandatorily apply for ESI registration within 15 days of the ESI Act, 1948 becoming applicable.

ESIC CONTRIBUTION

Under the scheme of ESIC, employers, including Shlok Tax Wala, are required to contribute 3.25% of the total monthly salary payable to the employee, while employees only need to contribute 0.75% of their monthly salary every month of the year. Employees earning less than Rs. 176/- per day are exempt from paying their contribution.

    The Corporation ensures unemployment allowances are provided, amounting to 50% of the wage for up to 1 year, along with medical care for oneself and family from ESI Hospitals in case of permanent invalidity due to non-employment or involuntary loss of employment.

  • Medical Benefits

    The Shlok Tax Wala ensures comprehensive medical coverage for its employees and their dependents, offering full medical and surgical care. Employees and their families receive medical benefits as part of the package.

  • Maternity Benefits

    Shlok Tax Wala offers its female employees Maternity benefits, granting paid leaves. Maternity benefit for confinement/pregnancy extends to six months, contingent upon a contribution for 70 days in the preceding year as per ESIC regulations.

  • Retirement Benefits

    After retirement in old age, ensures the provision of medical care and other essential facilities.

  • Benefits for Permanent Disablement

    If an employee becomes disabled, ESIC ensures that they receive 90% of their monthly wages during the period of temporary disablement. For permanent disablement, 90% of wages is provided for the remainder of the employee's life. This is a service provided by Shlok Tax Wala

  • Sickness Benefits

    Sickness benefits are provided to the employees of Shlok Tax Wala at the rate of 70% of their salary if the sickness persists for more than 91 days in a year, and this is duly certified.
